As a composer I am often very intellectual about how I create music. For this album I surrendered to a very different process. Every day we did a ceremony to welcome the Faerie energy into our creative space. I spent much of my time playing and editing in a trance. I would often invoke the faeries and then wake up the next day not exactly sure what had happened. Upon investigation I realized I had recorded some of the most amazing music of my life. The most wonderful string of people came through town at just the right time to make their offerings. The result is unlike any music I've ever written. Enchanting, delightful, dreamy. I'm honored to share it with you.
